Moving the location of the stairs was a big decision for me. The Ultimate holds the shingles in place well but doesn’t dry as quickly as hot glue. Emily always loved it and wanted to play with it more then her friend did. The reason I decided to do this is because hot melt glue does not affect the color fastness of the fabric but tacky glue does. A hot glue gun works well for this for two reasons……you won’t have to wait for the glue to dry and it will be easy to remove them if you want to after the holidays are over. Once the roof is entirely shingled you can add detail. Photo and/or glossy papers especially, have an almost waterproof surface, that will make it extremely difficult for the wallpaper paste to dry thoroughly and adhere properly.
